Lane, Roger De Wardt, 86, a U.S. Army Veteran, loving father and grandfather, of Hollywood, formerly of Boston, MA, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2013. He is survived by his daughter, Andria Lane and granddaughter, Tashina Brown. Urn Committal and Military Service will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2013, 11:30 a.m. at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL.

I met Roger many years at a coin show and had a very nice conversation with him; only I recently tried to contact him by email and via his website with a research question about some interesting information he put in his world silver dime sized coins books, but never got a response. It is only today that I came to discover he had passed away in 2013, for which I am very sorry indeed. I know he was highly respected and well liked in the numismatic field. -Alan Luedeking
