Rosita Espinosa, 93, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, June 8, 2017. Rosita was born on September 2, 1923, in Quito, Ecuador, to the late Jose Antonio Moncayo and Rosa Virginia Calderon.

Her family will always remember her for her selflessness and love for life. She was an extremely generous human being whose priority was to help those in need. Rosita loved music and demonstrated it while being part of her beloved choir “Cantares” in Quito. She was proud of her years as a business owner of her children’s boutique “La Pelusa” in Quito. She was an avid traveler and enjoyed making new friends. Rosita was a fabulous host and homemaker giving her all through her cooking, sewing and knitting.

Rosita was a loving mother and grandmother who felt fulfilled when caring for her grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her third daughter Virginia Espinosa, she is survived by her husband Alfonso Espinosa and their daughters: Cecilia (Rafael) Rivadeneira, Maria Eugenia Espinosa, Ana Lucia (Raul) Coronel and Nydia Espinosa. Her grandchildren: Charles Rodgers, Maria Belen and Ana Cecilia Rivadeneira, Frank and Antonio Marzullo, Daniel and Maria Eugenia Rodriguez, Ana Cristina Coronel and Estefania Alvarez. Her great-grandchildren: Nathan Rodgers, Andres Patricio and Rafaela Segovia, Maria Camila and Jose Antonio Rodriguez, and Matthew Marzullo.
