Casbarro, Sam, 90, of Pembroke Pines passed away Monday, May 3. He is survived by his wife Rosa Casbarro, 3 children; John Casbarro,Susan, Linda Dillistin, Charles, Mary Johnson, Craig, 7 grandchildren, & 1 great grandchild. Friends may visit from 6-8 PM, Thursday at Boyd-Panciera University Dr. Chapel. There will be a Prayer Service 7:00 PM, Thursday at the funeral home. Also there will be a Tributes of a Lifetime, 7:30 PM the same day. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, May. 7, at St. Boniface Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Dade Memorial Park. The family has requested donations to Food for the poor.

“Sam” was a wonderful friend and “father” to the neighborhood kids, growing up on 86th Avenue from 1971-1976. I will always remember how welcomed he made us feel, how we swam in his pool, and how we all packed inside the “Pinto” to go out for ice-cream. We played catch football in the street, and Sam always wanted to be the quarterback. He always cared about us, and always wished us well. Although I had only seen him once since that time, he hadn’t changed and always retained that friendly smile and attitude. He will always be remembered as a kind and loving “father” to all of us. God will smile upon him.
