CIPES, Selma Diane, a resident of Coral Springs, coming from Bronx, New York, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, March 9, 2018, after 102 wonderful years of life. Selma Diane Singer Cipes was Ms. Mt. Vernon, NY in 1932, she was in movies and dozens of television shows. She loved to play tennis! Pre-deceased by her husband, Bret Cipes. Survived by her loving son, Geoff Cipes and his wife Stacey; and 17 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family celebrated Selma’s life while she was still with us. Arrangements entrusted to Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel.

To The Cipes Family, My condolences on the loss of your loved one. The Cipes name is not one you see very often and when I saw the notice in the Sun Sentinel obituary, I felt compelled to send an email. I am 87 years old, my older sister would have been 92 and we were born and raised in the Bronx. My father had two brothers, one never married, and the other had two daughters. He did have two sisters, but the Cipes name would have been gone. He did have half-brothers and sisters but when they came to the U.S., the name given to them was Zipes and they lived in Chicago. I lived in Chicago for 35 years, but never could locate any people with the name Zipes. I would really like to learn more and would appreciate hearing from someone in your family. I never thought I had any Cipes relatives. I will, of course, understand if you do not respond.
