Rossman, T.C., 97, a Hollywood pioneer since 1932, passed away January 13, 2010. Born in Metamora MI, the fourth of ten children. Hired by the new Hollywood Beach Hotel as elevator operator/bellman where he met Gwendolyn Hennick. They were married for 60 years. After Gwen?s death he enjoyed a loving relationship with Zena Ryle and her family, a second love for them both. He worked as a Dragline Operator for several Miami companies to build Ocean Reef Club, Everglades Nat?l Park at Flamingo and much of Dade County. He is a 64 yr member of Int’l Union of Operating Engineers. His friendship with C.B. Smith established the Hollywood Rifle & Pistol Club, Inc. A Charter member and active shooter for 76 years, the HRPC remains a successful, active club today thanks to T.C. He was also an active trap shooter at Markham Park Trap Range. Mary Ellington; and great grandsons, Alex, Paul and Meson. Loving memories of T.C. and viewing 1-5 PM, Sunday, Jan. 24, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests a gift to Hollywood Rifle & Pistol Club Inc., c/o Bill Hart, 207 SW 2 Place, Dania Bch FL 33004 or Hollywood Historical Society, 1520 Polk St., Hollywood FL 33021.

We lost a great man. Don’t think we’ve had anyone in our lineage lived so long nor seen/done so much. You are already missed.

TC had a special place in my heart as he reminded me of my Dad who was also born in 1913. Both were the family matriarchs and had the best dispositions even under tough circumstances. I enjoyed TC and was amazed how well he shot trap for his age. We will miss him, but know he is in a better place and I’m sure he will be organizing and improving the trap shooting in Heaven.

I will miss “Dad” greatly. We shot trap together nearly every week for over 20 years. Even in his 90’s, he held his own with the best.

My heart is hollow, my tears still flow, I miss you more than you could ever know. An active, loving Father, should never be taken from his family. So many questions, no answers to be found. I’m so glad I could tell you “I love you” each and every day….I miss you Daddy!

“I think of you as living,

in the hearts of those you touched,

nothing loved is ever lost,

and you were loved so very much.”
