I loved my sweet Uncle Tommy and will miss him as I know you all will. He openly loved his big Italian family, esecially his little Gerry. Theirs was a such a wonderful love story and model for the rest of us. I have vivid memoires of Uncle Tommy cooking chicken at Dania Beach shelter when I was a child and of the spaghetti cake his mother, Mrs. Sessa, would make. I’ll also never forget going to the “farm,” playing in the abandoned house there, and hearing stories about Hinta who worked with him. I wished I had gone to market in Miami to see him in his element. What a sweet, kind man who loved the land and his family. I’m happy that I knew him.

I remember all the Fourth of Julys that we celebrated and how Uncle Tommy was always the one barbequing chicken on the grill for hours. When it got dark, out came the sparklers and big buckets of water. I also remember the shows we would put on when the families got together at Grandmother’s, Aunt Buras’ and Uncle Claude’s. He was an amazing man to all who encountered him, truly a blessing to family and friends.

The Wilkinson family sends it sincere condolences and love to Tommy and Gerry’s family.

As Art and I discussed, Tommy was such an inspration to us all. The family appreciated Tommy because of his values, his love of family and of course his ‘farmer’ lifestyle/livelyhood, and, always loved the fresh food he and Gerry grew. I never liked brocoli until eating at Tommy and Gerry’s when I was very young. Tommy went out, picked fresh brocoli, Gerry said “eat it”, it was great and I’ve eaten it ever since…..a lot of years since then too.

Flo and family; you are in our thoughts and prayers and we know he is with Gerry and ‘the family.’

With all our love; Edwina, Gwendolyn and Alan
