It is with great sadness that the family of Thomas Joseph Robinson announces his passing after a brief illness, on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at the age of 77 years old.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary Robinson; children, Mary Debra Johnson, Edward Hogan, and Erin Enwright. He will also be fondly remembered by his four grandchildren, Emma Enwright, Molly Hogan, Eleanor Enwright, and Lucas Johnson. He was preceded in death by parents, Thomas Joseph Robinson and Katherine (Simmons) Robinson. 

Tom was born in 1941 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he then relocated with his family to Gloucester City, New Jersey before making south Florida his last home. He attended Cardinal Dougherty High School in Philadelphia. Tom served in the United States Marine Corp. from 195-1964. He worked as a lineman and then worked for the U.S. Postal Service as an electrician until his retirement in 2006.

He was a master wood carver, an avid reader and loved the outdoors. He was a member of the Kayak Club and Sunrise Wood Carvers Association. He was also a board member of the River of Grass Unitarian Universalist Congregation as well as leader of the Men’s Group. Tom was proud to have carved the chalice that hangs in the River of the Grass UU Church. He built his own kayak and carved many beautiful pieces. Tom found great joy in Geocaching, camping, and family road trips. 

Tom had a great off the cuff sense of humor and enjoyed a good joke! He was the family chef, he enjoyed cooking, baking and family game nights. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. 

Urn Committal Service with Military Honors is planned for 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 22nd at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 South State Road 7, Lake Worth, FL 33449.
