In Loving Memory of Tracy “NuNu” “Old School” Allen

Tracy Allen, affectionately known as “NuNu” by his family and “Old School” by his friends, was born on

July 14, 1961, in Miami, Florida, to the late Dorothy L. Allen and Roosevelt Allen Jr.

Tracy graduated from Miami Jackson Senior High School with the Class of 1979. During his high school
years, he was a proud member of the drill dance team, football team, and basketball team. His love for
basketball was especially meaningful to him. He wore jersey #22 and played the position of point guard.

In 1979, Tracy received a basketball scholarship to attend Norfolk State University. He later transferred
to Hampton University in Norfolk, Virginia, where he continued his education and played basketball as a
point guard from 1980 to 1983, earning an Associate of Arts degree.

Tracy’s love for basketball extended far beyond the court. He enjoyed teaching neighborhood children
the game and sharing the knowledge and passion he had developed throughout his life. Many of the
young people he mentored went on to play basketball in high school and college. For Tracy, teaching the
game was one of the many ways he gave back to his community.

After college, Tracy met and married Diahann D. Hanna on November 26, 1987. From this union, they
were blessed with one daughter, Brione Allen.

On August 30, 1988, Tracy enlisted in the United States Army, proudly serving his country until October
23, 1990. Following his military service, he began working for several construction companies as a heavy
equipment operator.

Tracy touched the lives of many through his kindness, generosity, humor, and vibrant spirit. He
especially enjoyed encouraging children to obey their parents, stay out of trouble, and get an education.
He was the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back if someone was in need. His willingness
to help others and his genuine concern for those around him were qualities that made him deeply loved
and respected.

Tracy began his walk with the Lord and was baptized at a young age. He knew that faith was the
foundation of his existence. He possessed a deep and simple trust in the Lord that required no complex
proof. He simply believed that God had walked beside him from the very beginning of his life. Even as a
child, Tracy knew the sound of the Shepherd’s voice.

Early Thursday morning, August 27, 2026, Tracy heard the Lord calling his name. Knowing the Lord and
trusting that He would receive him just as he was, Tracy peacefully closed his eyes and took his final
walk with God.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy L. Allen; sister, Brenda J. Johnson; and brother,
Anthony J. Jones.

Tracy leaves to forever cherish his memory:

His daughter, Brione Allen of Jacksonville, Florida
His granddaughter, Karlie King of Jacksonville, Florida
His devoted and caring sister, Doretha Graham of Miramar, Florida

His stepbrother Jimmie L. Culbreth of Stonecrest, Georgia.
His god-sister, Shirley Mitchell of Miami Gardens, Florida
His aunts: Emma LaMarr of Sacramento, California; Thelma L. Wiley of Sacramento, California; Viola L.
Jennings of Phoenix, Maryland; and Hazel Montgomery of Tampa, Florida
His brother-in-law, Leroy Johnson of Hinesville, Georgia
His uncle, Alfred Murray of Cleveland, Ohio
His nephews: Nathaniel Holifield Jr. of Miramar, Florida; Robert McCoy Jr. (Katrina) of Hinesville,
Georgia; Robert McCoy III of Hinesville, Georgia; and Liston Johnson of Hinesville, Georgia

He also leaves behind a host of other loving family members, friends, and all those whose lives he
touched throughout his journey.

Though Tracy has taken his final walk with God, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew
and loved him. His laughter, generosity, love of basketball, devotion to family, and willingness to
encourage others will never be forgotten.

Rest peacefully, Tracy. Your work on this earth is done. Your walk with God has begun. You will forever
be loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.

Visitation to be held on Saturday, September, 19, 2026 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Funeral Service to begin at 11:00 AM and conclude with Tributes of a Lifetime Service at 1:00 PM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, 1600 N. University Drive, Pembroke Pines, Florida 33024.

Graveside Service to be held on Monday, September 21, 2026 at 11:00 AM at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 South State Road 7, Lake Worth/Wellington, Florida 33449. Funeral Honors to be rendered by the United States Army Honor Guard.
