Christie, Valarie June, 71, of Miramar, passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, January 18, 2014. She was born in Kingston, Jamaica, to the late, George and Enid Powell Gooden. After coming to the United States, she studied very hard to become a Registered Nurse in the Nursing field. She leaves behind to mourn her passing her beloved children, Tanya Christie Bennett, Duane Christie and Marc Christie. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Marc Christie, Tyra Christie, Raquel Christie, Brandon Bennett and Braylen Bennett. Visitation will be take place on Saturday, January 25, starting at 10:00 a.m. with a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at the church of God New Life Worship Center in Miramar.
