I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Estalella was one of the dads I grew up with. Nikki and my sister Alice always spent time together and he and Mrs. Estalella were so kind to my family. I am sending lots of love from Virginia to all of you. He was an honorable and loving man. God bless you all – Love – Bea Gonzalez

I cherish and carry with me the love I received from Vic. He has taught me to love unconditionally and give without expectation of return. The birthday and holiday phone calls always made me feel special. It is his kindness and love, caring and thoughtfulness that help all of us be better, kinder, more loving people.

My God, where do I start… I have so many memories of Vic. Mostly when he coached me at Flamingo Park. My dad, Jerry Kerlin, Kevin Mc Cormick, Larry Schwartz, and Vic seemed inseparable to me. They all have taught me so much. But Vic to me was the one that taught me the discipline that I never listened to or utilized until I was older. Certain things stuck in my head that he used to say when we were playing ball that I will never forget. Things my dad never said to me. Words I will use to raise my kids. Thank you Vic. We will all miss you.

Dear Karen & Family,

Attending the funeral yesterday and listening to all the people who spoke about Vic and how he impacted their lives, truly shows what a wonderful person he was. I know he was dearly loved & respected by everyone he knew, in particular Kevin & Jerry. I am so thankful that he was part of my son’s growing years. You and your family are truly blessed to have shared all these years with him. I know with every fond memory he will bring a smile to your face and help to comfort you and bring you eternal peace. God bless him and your entire family. With my sincere sympathy & love. Janice Kerlin

I was thinking of Bobby today (I just gave a talk on "Small-Town Heroes" yesterday and his name came up). I’ve lost track of him but I still had Vic’s phone number. I thought I should check before I called since it’s been quite a few years. I didn’t expect to find an obit and I’m saddened by this. I hope Karen and Bobby are both doing well. With warm best wishes, Hank Davis
