September 12, 1956~February 23, 2026

Virginia Torres was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter whose presence brought light, comfort, and joy to everyone blessed enough to know her. She was a woman of remarkable intelligence, beauty, and cleverness, with a memorable laugh and a spirit that could brighten even the darkest days.

Born in Peru, Virginia carried her love for her home country in her heart throughout her life. She loved deeply and generously—not only her family, but everyone she met. She had a special gift for making people feel cared for and valued, and she found great joy in spoiling those she loved, especially her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. Her grandchildren were among her greatest treasures, and she shared unbreakable bonds with her sisters, brothers, and extended family.

Virginia was a devoted and protective mother to her only son, Luis, whom she lovingly nicknamed “Gino.” She was endlessly proud of him and loved him with all her heart. She was also a wonderful sister and daughter, always offering wisdom, comfort, and thoughtful advice to those who needed it most. She spent her life worrying about others before herself, a true reflection of her selfless and nurturing nature.

A woman of strong Christian faith, Virginia carried her beliefs with grace and devotion. Her faith guided her life and gave her strength, hope, and peace.

Even in her final chapter, Virginia gave one last beautiful gift—she brought her loved ones back together, reminding everyone of the importance of family, forgiveness, and love.

Virginia will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Though our hearts ache and we wish we had more time with her, we are grateful for every moment, every laugh, every lesson, and every memory she gave us. Her love will live on in the lives she touched forever.

I will always remember how funny, intelligent, and brave you were, and how much love you gave to all of us. Even though I lived a bit far from Florida, every time I visited you were always so caring and attentive.
I will never forget how you always encourage me to study, work and to take as much opportunities I can to improve in my career. When I told you that I was moving to London, you were so happy for me. I also remember my last visit in September, when you listened to me speaking English in my meetings and told me how much it had improved. You sounded so proud of me, and that meant the world.
Thank you for always welcoming me with so much love and for enjoying the little sweets I brought you from Peru.
