Walker Herbert Cushman, a proud veteran of the United States Navy, passed away on June 14, 2026 at his home in Palm Beach Shores, FL.

Walker was born November 24, 1942 in Madison, WI. The son of Harley and Nellemary Cushman, he was raised in Lodi, WI and later attended Stout State University.

At the age of 22, Walker enlisted in the Navy attaining rank of Lieutenant JG and serving as a personnel officer. He served proudly, carrying the lessons of discipline, service and resilience with him throughout his life. He was assigned to submarine rescue vessel USS Skylark as well as NAAS Chase Field in Beeville, TX.

Following his honorable discharge, Walker began his 25 year career with IBM. He worked in conjunction with the NASA Apollo program and as a manufacturing production control manager in FL, NY, and TX.

Walker will be remembered for his kindness, quick wit, and genuine smile. He loved fishing, the outdoors, spending time with his loved ones and friends, and volunteering in his community.

Walker is survived by his wife, Judy Craddock-Cushman of FL; daughter Diana Dellinger and husband Chad of GA, and children Alyxis and Matthew; son Kyle Cushman and wife Jena of TX, and children Gage, Grant, Kenna, and Karis; daughter Susanne Craddock of FL; son Brent Cushman of TX;  daughter Shyla Vickers and husband Kevin of TX, and children Shaylin, Carissa, Reese and wife Shalynn, and great grandson Maverick; daughter Janelle McNeill of TX and husband Eddie, and children Triston, Macyn, Carson, and Samuel.

The family would like to thank the team at Trustbridge Hospice Care of Palm Beach County for their love and support.

Walker donated his body to scientific research at the University of Miami. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation in his honor to the Rotary Club of Singer Island Scholarship fund.
