SCOTT, Walter Dupree, Jr., 82, of Ft. Lauderdale, passed away September 20, 2017, after battling an illness. A native floridian who was born in Ft. Lauderdale, on April 17, 1935. He was the son of the late Walter Scott, Sr and Mary Ruth (Gable) Scott. Walter proudly served in the US Marines between 1953-1956. After being honorably discharged from the armed forces, Walter, was certified as a security police for the postal service and worked until retirement. He is survived by his beloved wife, Marisela Scott; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jose Arreola, Rosa Maria (Francisco) Arreola de Jorda, Sergio (Teresita) Arreola, Sara Isabel Arreola; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2017, from 9:30-11:30 AM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel. Funeral Mass will follow Nativity Catholic Church. He will be laid to rest at South Florida National Cemetery at 2:15 PM.
